Reefer madness.

I would like to think that over the course of many years I have at least learned something about drugs. Not all the lessons were positive ones. Nevertheless, they were lessons, and each one was as valuable as the last.

I was always fascinated by the lengths that some people would go to in order to satisfy their curiosity with drugs. The "spider experiments" of the sixties were a classic example. Give a spider LSD and I can tell you it's gonna spin a mighty fugged up web!! Do you really need to go to these lengths?

Tripping on mescaline.

Spider on hashish.

Wizzed on acid.

Spider laced with caffeine.

Perhaps you might like to see this short film, which shows how the experiments were conducted. Make sure you stop the tune that's playing in the background first with the media player thing over there at the top on the right hand side otherwise the sounds are all fugged up.

Effects Of Drugs And Alcohol On Spider Webs

  1. That was much better than most Canadian movies. Which probably tells you a huge amount about the film industry here.
